It seems like Kanye West cannot get enough of social media. He has lately been sending out several tweets after releasing his retail album, “The Life Of Pablo”. Jay-Z has been using artists signed to his label to gain more subscriptions through his Tidal service. Rihanna and Kanye West are the first to release their new albums via the app. Is this the new way to stop piracy? Not so fast there Roc Nation CEO. Do the record company execs not realize that you can record any content that is currently being streamed/played on a user’s computer? Sound is easier to record than video! You won’t fool the hackers, as this is child’s play to them and more than likely the album is available for free download the same day it is released. Good luck suing The Pirate Bay, someone had to school these morons. Back when these guys went to school, they played “Oregon Trail” on an Apple IIe and that was the latest technology for them. Do they think that it is still the only thing schools of today have? More than likely, as an educational activity, 3rd and 4th graders are probably given a learning exercise to record any sound currently being played on the computer. That’s how slow these artists and record company guys are, they teach 8 years how to easily steal your music when you thought that “streaming” was your savior. Did the genius in Kanye West realize that plan wouldn’t work and tweeted out that he has another new album coming this summer. A physical copy is probably better because you just bootlegged yourself with that album stream buddy.

We hope these record executives at least go back to releasing physical copies of albums. Your plan to put a monthly lease on an artist’s album has been foiled, since users can easily record what is being streamed on their computer. What a wasted effort, at least a physical album is tangible no matter how bad the music is. If it’s horrible, the purchaser can at least sell it off to someone else.
